Vipul and Reena were referred to me by their friends Ekta and Mitesh whose wedding I photographed last year and Ekta’s brother Ronak whose wedding I am photographing in July. I am not the photographer for their actual wedding coming up this weekend, but Vipul and Reena were disappointed with their engagement photographs from their actual wedding photographer so this was a redo for them. Unfortunately, I am already booked on their wedding day but I can understand their concern. I never saw the original photographs so I can’t judge, but I guess they we mostly close ups and didn’t show a lot of the surroundings. Being that the shoot was last minute, of course, I was very nervous whether they would be happy with my shots….although, I was VERY happy with the shots so I was very relieved when Reena left me such a sweet, heartfelt message about how much they loved the photos.
You know, I think it’s sometimes difficult to for clients to realize how much emotional energy we invest into each shoot we do. Maybe they all do realize but sometimes forget to make the effort to thank us. I’ve had my business for a while now, and through the years sometimes I would deliver photos and never get feedback -only months or even years later to hear from friends they referred how happy they were, or they will call me for a family shoot. I feel like not only do I give it my all during the shoot, but I really labor over my post production. I truly, truly love what I do and I just labor over it. So honestly, when people write me nice notes or tell me how much they appreciate it…it really means the world to me 🙂
