A few favorites from 2010 and why!

I’ve always wanted to do this!  I’ve been make a new slideshow and picking studio samples so I thought I would share and reminisce about some of my favorite photographic moments from last  year. Often my picks as the photographer are different than my clients picks and not necessarily the “best” photos.   As a wedding photographer,  I am often shooting in very terrible conditions, not so ideal settings, lighting…or I have a very nervous subject…so the memory of taking these photos…and knowing that they were such a success under the circumstances, is what can make me love some of them so much.   I put a little note on each one to tell the story just a bit!

Putting the veil on can be a tough moment to get super creatively....but her position was perfect with the chandelier and the lighting

The red balloons are such a contrast to their expressions. This photo of Jamie and Jason makes me laugh...

I'm a sucker for backlight and could it be a sweeter of a moment?

I've seen a similar shot in other places but I've never had one of my own!

It rained on Kelly's wedding day but boy did she have a great hotel lobby to work with! Again, a classic bridal portrait with a twist

This was the only Orthodox Rabbi I photographed all year. Isn't he great for photos?

I had been dying to do a shot like this for a long time. It's very rare to have a big hill with open sky and even lighting!

Although this is a beautiful photo, knowing that Cami has a 60x40 of it because it meant so much to her makes it me mean that much to me

All though Matt is a really smiley guy, and he put the smiling version of this in his wedding album...I just think he looks so weird here against the green

There was such great light in this room as Castle Green...though I had photographed there before, I had never used this room...I couldn't get out of there for Andrea and Chris's wedding

  1. What I love, LOVE about your photography, Kim is that its so organic and unique….never the same few shots over and over. You always personalize it to the couple, even if the locations are the same! Great shots!!

  2. Norwich Photography
