If it looks like this wedding is in the middle of nowhere, that is because it was! I really had a blast with Ritu and Garrett on their engagement shoot, and it was a real adventure to go up to Portersville, CA (a farming community) to photograph this wedding. Garrett is obviously, not Indian (he is from Wisconsin) and I know Ritu was worried about how his family would react to all the Indian customs. To her amusement, they could not have been more into it! It was great to see all her friends from LA get into the traditions as well.
I couldn’t live without taking advantage of all the open space, so I did encourage Ritu and Garrett to take a little car ride into the wheat fields for their reception photos. I want to thank them so much for being such willing and gorgeous subjects! Yes, it was like 105 degrees, but Ritu and Garrett are both nurses so if anyone fainted, we would have been in good hands! (But no one did!)
