It’s actually been a while since I’ve photographed a more Orthodox Jewish wedding which included many of the Jewish formalities such as the Bedeken (the veiling) and the Yichud (where the bride and groom spend time alone after the ceremony for a few minutes in a separate location). Megan and Edan were also married by a Rabbi from Chabad and all of these aspects of their wedding made it very exciting to photograph. I don’t think that Megan and Edan are particularly Orthodox, but Edan is from Israel and they decided to keep these traditions throughout this 11 hour day! The ceremony took place at Greystone Mansion which is just such a lovely place to photograph and the reception was at Il Cielo Restaurant. Megan and Edan are super fun and positive people so even though the day was long, it went really fast. They were incredibly enthusiastic and calm the whole day and their friends and family had an absolute blast. I really loved her dress and thought she did a great job on all the details. I had also never been to Il Cielo which I thought was a beautiful place for a reception and thanks to the staff for feeding us so promptly. I was so pregnant and hungry!
