Malerie and Andrew – Four Seasons Westlake Wedding Photography, Westlake, CA Wedding Photographer

Malerie got in touch with me about a year and a half before her wedding -before she even had a date or location. Every client I’ve ever had who is a school teacher is so insanely organized and ahead of the game it’s amazing. Though I did their engagement shoot back in December, the only other times I had seen Malerie, she has been in sweatpants or work out clothes…so it was impossible to predict what she might look like on wedding day. Though I was wondering what route she would go style wise for the wedding, I was definitely not expecting the amazing PINK custom made dress with the 7 foot long train hanging in her getting ready room! Though a daring move for sure, as far as I’m concerned, that is what wedding are all about…doing them your way, with your own unique style…and going for it! And let’s be honest, very few people have the body to pull that dress off!

The Four Seasons Westlake is a much more formal and ornate venue inside and quite manicured on the outside…which gave the photos an interesting twist with the pink dress. Definitely a different vibe than anything I’d ever done before!

Though Malerie and Andrew probably had 150 or so guests…the wedding felt extremely small and intimate. They have been together for 7 years, met at University of Colorado at Boulder and are just super cute together. Probably my favorite moment in the wedding was during the cake cutting when Andrew fed Malerie a piece of cake and she screamed to her friends “I actually ate some cake!”. Well, now we know why she pulled off this dress!
