So thrilled that the USC Shoah Foundation was able to land such amazing hosts and honorees for their 20 year anniversary! President Obama! How amazing! It is such a testament to the amazing work this organization does. I’ve been taking photos for this foundation for many years including their website portraits, events, publication photography, etc….For this event, I wasn’t sure if they would get the clearance to use me as I am not one of the “wire” photographers so I was thrilled when I got the call to come document! This was a little more challenging because of the secret service who yelled at me twice (Ha! They are VERY scary and VERY handsome!) But somehow I was able to wiggle around, go backstage, take some celebrity photos, etc…There are also some amazing educational activities going on at the event that are fun to document as well.
It was awesome to finally the President in my lens. The President’s speech was inspiring and amazing. One of my other favorite parts of the evening was after the show, getting to watch some of the celebrities mingle with the survivors. Congratulations Shoah!
