Last weekend I had the absolute honor of flying to NYC and capturing the 30th Anniversary @uscshoahfoundation Ambassadors of Humanity fundraiser. @uscshoahfoundation was founded by Steven Spielberg after he filmed Schindler’s List to preserve the testimonies of Holocaust Survivors . Since then it has expanded into preserving the testimonies from survivors of all Genocides including Rwanda and Cambodia. The work this organization does to fight anti-semitism and all hate all over the world is more important today than ever. In the past, they have honored one individual who has contributed to the cause but this year they honored all survivors. So we decided to stage a photo of Steven with 50 Holocaust survivors, Rwandan survivors and a few families of some of the Israeli hostages. So grateful we made it happen. (And yes, I was sweating but we did it!). Thank you to @dtp for helping me out and being so awesome. This was a star studded event MC’d by my new favorite comedian @alexedelman with performances by @springsteen (I can’t believe I was 5ft from him) and the most beautiful soulful performance by @itzhakpearman of the Schindler’s List theme. It’s not easy to take photos with tears in your eyes! Again, so grateful to be able to capture images for this amazing foundation over the years.
