Monica and Martin’s wedding was a last minute booking that came in about a month before the fact. On the X-mas weekend, I could not have welcomed a more fun loving, up for anything couple to photograph in Venice Beach! Monica and Martin were already married with very young children (2 and 3 months) but decided to finally have a big bash to celebrate with friends and family. Not only did I get to photograph their wedding, but I also got to photograph an engagement shoot as well as a German “Polterbend” the night before. In this custom, guests and neighbors through china at the couple and have them sweep it up! Since I was not only in fear of bruising and also my camera getting demolished, it might be the last time I agree to photograph a “Polterbend”. Regardless, it was VERY fun to see and hear about this custom….I think I will stick to tea ceremonies, henna and elephants!
