Well, the forecast was ominous. Of course, on Thursday, for their church wedding the skies could not have been clearer. The ceremony was probably moved back and forth from outside to the ballroom 4-5 times…but ultimately, right at 5:00pm for ceremony time it started to drizzle and we set up indoors.
The good news for Lauren and Rob is that Shutters on the Beach is really a great place for a rainy wedding. The Speedway is completely covered as well as many of the walkways (where we did first look) and we did get enough of a break in the weather to run down to the beach as well! I love playing with the rain and was so thrilled that Lauren bought some umbrellas and rain boots with her.
Lauren and Rob as so incredibly sweet and their families were wonderful to work with. It’s ALWAYS a pleasure to work with the amazing Stephanie Grace Designs team – Lisa, Stephanie and Parenell. They did an amazing job of turning the room over. One thing about rainy weddings is that they get everyone warm and cozy inside and that was the vibe for the rest of the night. I love this wedding and this couple!
